Genesis

Formed in 1980, Refnol Oil Refineries Pvt. Ltd., as it was then known, was established to re-refine waste lubricating oils. It was promoted by the Khatau Group of Bombay, with a business tradition going back over 100 years.

The re-refining business was shut down in 1986 in which year Refnol started manufacture of a range of Textile Sizing Chemicals. The transformation of the company to its present from with five business divisions had begun :

Textile Sizing Chemicals - Since 1986 :

Manufacturing & marketing a comprehensive range of performance chemicals for the sizing of warp yarns. Marketed successfully in India and overseas.

Unsaturated & Saturated Polyester Resins - Since 1989 :

Unsaturated Polyester Resins for composite applications of all kinds. Chemical Equipments, Transportation & Marine, Construction & Architecture. India’s first & today the largest exporter of such resins delivering successfully to major customers in the Middle East, Europe & South Asia.

Saturated Polyester Resins for coil coatings, stoving enamels and special applications.

Garment Wash Chemicals & Textile Enzymes - Since 1994 :

In cooperation with AB Enzymes Finland Oy. Formulate textile enzyme products under exclusive agreement with AB Enzymes for sale in India, Bangladesh, Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Kenya.

A full range of Garment Finishing Chemicals and Auxiliaries are manufactured & sold together with the enzyme formulations to the garment manufacturing industry in these countries.

Laundry & Cleaning Chemicals - Since 2002 :

A contemporary range of Laundry & Cleaning and building maintenance chemicals primarily aimed at institutional & industrial users.

Textile Auxiliaries - Since 2003

A full range of Chemicals for the Textile & fabric manufacturing process. Pre-treatment, dyeing & printing, finishing & special applications. For industry in India & overseas.

The five divisions of Refnol deliver quality products to a large number of customers in the textile, garment composites industries.
